Backpack Giveaway by News 12 New Jersey & partners

New Jersey News 12, Optimum, Warners Bros. Discovery’s Backpack Giveaway 2026 Feature

Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic was thrilled to welcome News 12 to our Paterson Clubhouse for a special back-to-school celebration benefiting our summer campers. News 12, Optimum and Warner Bro. Discovery provided backpacks and Bridge of Books Foundation donated books for our Club kids. News 12 brought together an incredible group of community partners to help students head into the new school year feeling confident and prepared.

The day included support and activities from Staples, the New York Cosmos, the New Jersey Jackals, the City of Paterson Fire Department, and Wellpoint, which provided haircuts and braiding for our kids. We were also honored to welcome Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh and Congresswoman Nellie Pou, longtime champions of BGCPP youth, who shared encouragement and words of advice as our members prepare to return to the classroom.

We are grateful to News 12 and all of our partners for showing our Club kids what it looks like when an entire community comes together to invest in their success.
