Saturday Academic Tutoring
The Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic offers a FREE Saturday Academic Tutoring Program to any students who are residents of Paterson or Passaic, grades K-8. There is also a teen-focused tutoring program for grades 9-11. Both programs offer a fun and engaging learning environment where youth can enhance their skills and build confidence, preparing them for success in school and beyond.
The program is held every Saturday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at two locations: The Boys & Girls Club of Paterson at 264 21st Avenue, Paterson and the Boys & Girls Club of Passaic at 14 Hudson Street, Passaic. Registration and consistent attendance are required. The program focuses on key academic subjects of Math, English/ Reading and Penmanship, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention to help them excel. Experienced tutors will lead the sessions, working closely with students to address their unique learning needs and goals. Many of the tutors and staff are bilingual in English and Spanish to meet the needs of the community. The program is led by Marion Parks, Education Specialist, who has
extensive educational leadership experience in Passaic County. Lunch and snacks are provided at no cost to families; children do not need to be members of the Boys & Girls Club to attend.
Parents interested in enrolling their children in the Saturday Academic Tutoring Program can contact the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic at 973-279-3055, ext. 326 or email mparks@bgcppnj.org for more information.
