If you’re ready to explore your potential, develop real-world skills, and build a bright future, then read on to learn about Girls with #Goals, an exciting and FREE new program at the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic (BGCPP).

Interested in being a Girl with #Goals?     

We are looking for local women in the fields of Medicine, Education, Arts/Entertainment, Business, Humanities, and Social Services to volunteer their time as panelists, presenters, judges for our end of program “Shark Tank”, mentors and more!

Interested in being a Mentor?

Girls with #Goals is a 10-week program designed for teen girls, offering hands-on experiences, mentorship, and opportunities to build your confidence and skills. You’ll meet local women entrepreneurs and business leaders who will guide and inspire you, providing insights and practical skills to empower you to think strategically about your future.

• Girls with #Goals is open to any teen girls residing in Paterson or Passaic ages 15-18.
• There is no cost to participate.
• Membership of the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic is not required.
• Participants who complete the 10-week program and attend consistently will receive a $250 stipend.

The Girls with #Goals program runs from October, 2025 to February, 2025, with sessions twice a week for two hours each.

• Boys & Girls Club of Passaic: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
  • Paterson Teens will be provided transportation to and from the Passaic Clubhouse on these days.

Personal and Professional Growth: Discover your interests, develop practical skills, and build confidence.

Real-World Learning Opportunities: Gain practical experience through workshops that cover everything from developing business plans to building leadership skills. You’ll engage in interactive activities that teach you how to think strategically and apply what you learn in real-life situations.

Connect with Local Women Leaders: Meet successful local women in various industries who are excited to share their stories and knowledge with you and provide a supportive community. These panel discussions and mentorship opportunities provide you with the guidance, inspiration, and confidence you need to pursue your dreams.

Interactive Workshops: After the panels, you’ll dive into engaging activities like developing a mini business plan, practicing leadership exercises, or collaborating on creative solutions. These activities are designed to help you apply new skills right away.

Develop Your Skills and Confidence: Throughout the program, you’ll participate in hands-on activities, create projects, and work with mentors to build important skills like public speaking, goal-setting, and teamwork. Every session is designed to boost your self-confidence and help you grow.

Stipend and Swag: Participants who complete the 10-week program and attend consistently will receive a $250 stipend and lots of fun swag!

Throughout the 10 weeks, you’ll reach several exciting milestones:

Retreat Experience: Early in the program, you’ll attend a one-day retreat where you’ll bond with peers and deepen your learning in a fun, immersive setting.

Business Plan Development: Work on your own business model or project with support from mentors, gaining skills that can be applied to any future path you choose.

Presentation & Culminating Event: Present your business plan and showcase your achievements at our closing celebration, where we’ll recognize all your hard work and growth.
